Brief

VRR stands for voidage replacement ratio. It is the ratio of injected fluid to produced fluid at the reservoir conditions.

Equation

 VRR = \frac{Injected reservoir volumes}{Produced reservoir volumes} = \frac{W_i * B_{wi} + W_g * B_{gi}}{N_p * B_o + W_p * B_{wp} + B_g(GOR-R_s)*N_p}

where

 A = Area, m2
 h = Net pay, oil saturated thickness, m
 HCPV = Hydrocarbon pore volume, m3
 \phi = Porosity, fraction
 S_o = Oil saturation, fraction

Related definitions

Pore volume:

 PV = A * h * \phi

Movable pore volume:

 MOPV = A * h * \phi *(1-S_{wc}-S_{orw})

where

 S_{wc} = Connate water saturation, fraction
 S_{orw} = Residual oil saturation, fraction
