Well Log Interpretation
From wiki.pengtools.com
Brief
Well Log Interpretation is a summary of a well log. Used in Mature Water Flood Analysis for calculating HCPV for Blocks and Patterns.
Summary Equations
- where Saturation=Oil
- where Saturation=Oil
- where Saturation=Oil
where
- = Gross thickness, m2
- = Net pay, oil saturated thickness, m
- = Porosity, fraction or %
- = Oil saturation, fraction or %
Example
Calculate the summary of the well log interpretation above for the Б2(С1) reservoir.
- h_gross = 1+1.5+1+0.9+0.6+1.2+1.7+5.2+5.8+0.7+0.7+1.3+0.8+1+0.6+1+1.5+0.9+0.7+1.1+2.2+1.1+2.6 = 35.1 m
- h = 1.2 + 5.2 + 5.8 + 1 + 1.5 = 14.7 m
- porosity = (1.2*13.4 + 5.2*19 + 5.8*12 + 1*17.2 + 1.5*16.6)/(1.2 + 5.2 + 5.8 + 1 + 1.5) = 226.58 / 14.7 = 15.4%
