Brief

Well Log Interpretation is a summary of a well log. Used in Mature Water Flood Analysis for calculating HCPV for Blocks and Patterns.

Well Log Interpretation

Summary Equations

 h_{gross} = \Sigma h_{gross}
 h = \Sigma h where Saturation=Oil
 \phi = \frac{\Sigma (h*\phi)}{\Sigma h} where Saturation=Oil
 S_o = \frac{\Sigma (h*S_o)}{\Sigma h} where Saturation=Oil

where

 h_{gross} = Gross thickness, m2
 h = Net pay, oil saturated thickness, m
 \phi = Porosity, fraction or %
 S_o = Oil saturation, fraction or %

Example

Calculate the summary of the well log interpretation above for the Б2(С1) reservoir.

h_gross = 1+1.5+1+0.9+0.6+1.2+1.7+5.2+5.8+0.7+0.7+1.3+0.8+1+0.6+1+1.5+0.9+0.7+1.1+2.2+1.1+2.6 = 35.1 m
